It was thoroughly washed with hot water and degreasing detergent. There is no nicotine or tar residue. The unit was tested and makes all proper 200 selections. This unit is ready to be connected to a jukebox with the proper stepper or can be connected to an ipod or any home stereo with the Data Sync Wallbox Player System.
This particular wallbox is from my private collection. I’ve kept this wallbox because when I bought it, it was set for Nickel play. Over fifty years of collecting I have owned only about a half dozen of these, making it a very rare item.
They were produced from 1958 to 1964. They operate the same as a 5250 except the 5252 features dual pricing on ANY five records or ten selections. They produced approximtely 14,000 5250’s and only 3 thousand 5252’s
It has been restored to dime play, the original factory setting. Included is the a pdf of the manual explaining all the different combinations of dual pricing.
Single Selections are set for 1 play 10 cents, 3 Plays for a Quarter and 7 Plays for a Half Dollar. Extended Play selections are set of 1 play 15 cents, Two plays for a Quarter and five plays for a Half Dollar. (This was the factory setting.) Installed on this wallbox is a FREE PLAY TOGGLE SWITCH. When turned on to FREE PLAY the unit will not require any coins for ANY selections. It will continue to make selections until the toggle switch is turned to the “COIN” position. To return the unit to coin play, turn the toggle switch to the coin position immediately after making a selection. This will return the unit to the “home” position (buttons do not latch) as opposed to the “credit” position (buttons latch). Please remember there is no coin equipment installed. Also installed is a Nickel button. Pressing the button is equivalent to inserting a nickel.
The cover is original chrome with original glass and decal. The chrome cover is in very good condition for its age. There is some light scratches and pitting but it does not take away from the look.
