This is WURLITZER 5220L WALLBOX is NOS (New Old Stock). The original plate is marked model 5220. 5220A and 5220L were never identified as such. The L designation is because it has the TOP TUNES button. One press of this button would play the top ten tunes in the jukebox which would be identified by clear yellow plastic inserts over the corresponding titlestrips.
This wallbox was purchased brand new and never used on location. The original strings “tying” the pages are still intact.
The unit has been tested and makes all proper 200 selections. This unit is ready to be connected to a jukebox with the proper stepper or can be connected to an ipod or any home stereo with the Data Sync Wallbox Player System.
If the buyer wants I can add a free play circuit which will not alter the originality of the wallbox. I prefer not to remove any of the knockouts or make any solder connections unless requested to by the buyer.
There is some blemishing and very light pitting to the chrome. Even though this was never used on location (or used in my home, was just on display) it is 70 years old. This unit has been in my collection for almost 50 years. In all the years of collecting I have only seen these as NOS on two occasions. This is a very rare opportunity to own a 70 year old Wurlitzer wallbox NOS.
