This is an ORIGINAL SEEBURG TEARDROP SPEAKER. The case was cracked and repaired. Chrome ring, triangle and logo were re-chromed. The back of the case has been trimmed. This speaker has been refinished in a stunning BLACK HAMMERTONE paint.
The speaker has been replaced with a BRAND NEW FULL RANGE eight inch speaker, 8 ohms. Will work with any standard (8 ohm) output amplifier. Rated at 60 watts.
This full-range 8" speaker features a paper cone with poly foam surround. A whizzer cone extends high frequency response and dispersion.
Also included in this deal is the ORIGINAL speaker that works! It should be re-coned if it is going to be installed and used with a jukebox.

Seeburg teardrop speakers were produced from 1946 to 1955.
There are at least five know variations of the teardrop speaker:
RS1-8 specifically for the Seeburg Trashcans 146, 147 and 148. Also with the 100 series jukeboxes A, B, C, G and W.
RS2-8 same as RS1-8 with the addition of a volume control and a seperate On/Off Switch.
CVWS1-8 Bakelite Constant Voltage Wall Speaker specifically for the M100A and up.
CVWS2-8 Ivory painted Constant Voltage Wall Speaker specifically for the M100A and up.
CVS4-8 Various painted Constant Voltage Wall Speaker specifically for the M100A and up.
All models could be modified to be used with almost any other type jukebox or amplifier. The output impedance on all teardrop speakers could be set to either 500 ohm (when used on remote control special master amplifiers) or on standard 8 ohms (when used with the jukebox amplifier).
